Apologies for the break! Summer has been a whirlwind but happy to be back! This piece was suggest by a good friend of the collection and I think it was a brilliant call out. In really looking at it, I don't know that I ever noticed the beauty of the A moody and elegant moment. Over his career, Walter H Everett illustrated dozens of works for The Ladies Home Journal between 1902 and 1935. I often overlooked this piece as I was captured by the more iconic figurative works that he did. But the simplicity and quiet calm of the work is growing on me.
